In the 21st century writers should embrace digital initiative that oozes with diverse categories of functions such as book editing, proof reading, selling, marketing and publication, this publication can reveal.

In a press statement released on 12 May 2021, Bulawayo based Heart-Flames Distributors (PVT) LTD announced that it has launched a one stop digital platform for both authors and readers to express and enjoy expression. Samantha Nunu and Pamela Ndlovu the Directors of Heart-Flames explained the digital platform in detail.

“The fascinating part is the fact that it is zero cost to upload your book while at the same time receiving whopping 90% proceeds of sales, more so the price of the book is prescribed by the owners themselves,” they said in the statement.

One writer who is already enjoying working with Heart-Flames distributors, Patrick ‘Octagon’ Chisvo said this was an opportunity that established writers cannot afford to miss.

“For novice authors, the giants and keen readers alike, this is a much needed refreshing to the literary table where we are all allowed to come with greedy hands and still have enough share. This is a literature bullet train,” said Chisvo.

One of the renowned Chisiya Writers’ Club members, Chenjerai Mhondera believes the digital initiative by Heart-Flames Distributors is the best way to monetize and moblize writing talents.

“This gesture by Heart-Flames Distributors is the digital spark that was lacking in our bid to revolutionize and evolve the book industry in Zimbabwe and Africa as a whole. Let me admit that the writing process was vast in Africa, however, what was vast was never made vast on market. The digitalisation of market does not only provide us with a common market for our literary products, but ushers relief because it finally offers opportunities for fortune and escape from piracy. The move though, requires that our writers need to complement such efforts through upping their art to match already set international audience,” said Mhondera.

Heart-Flames Distributors (PVT) LTD is owned by two enterprising young ladies, Samantha Nunu and Pamela Ndlovu. Writers and readers can easily bring the company’s library into their pockets by subscribing to the Heart-Flames online channels and the website: http://www.heartflamesreaders.com
